The US military base in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor came under rocket fire today, March 23. As a result of the attack by an unknown group, several American soldiers were injured, according to the Beirut-based pan-Arab television station Al-Mayadeen.
According to him, “unidentified missiles” attacked a US military base near the Konoko gas field, located in the northern part of Deir Ez-Zor. Other details of the incident were not provided.
Official confirmation of the missile attack by the Pentagon and representatives of the United States-led coalition in Iraq and Syria has not yet been reported.
