“I can confirm that the police shot the suspect. I also confirm that we are not currently looking for anyone in connection with the incident. A police officer was injured during the incident, he is being assisted in the hospital,” said Scotland’s deputy police chief Bernard Higgins.
An eyewitness Craig Milroy told the RA agency that he saw from the window how four people were taken away by ambulances. He also saw a barefoot bloodied man lying on the ground, and the second one crouched down and, apparently, clasped his hands to the victim’s wound.
The First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, said that she was aware of the incident and condolences to the victims and the families of the victims.
She called on the residents of Glasgow to help emergency services and stay away from the scene, as well as not to spread unconfirmed information. Recall that on June 20, an unknown person massacred in the English city of Reading after marches in support of the black population. The attacker was detained.
