The internet is full of information about upcoming flights to Mars. People persistently want not only to visit the Red Planet but also to colonize it. Resettlement will be possible only when technologies appear that make it possible to live on an alien planet in more or less familiar conditions. There are many benefits from resettlement, but a lot of problems will have to be solved. This is what you need to start taking care of now in order to have well-thought-out and balanced technologies at the time of the flight.
ABIBOO has unveiled the original design of the Martian city, naming it Nüwa. It will be able to accommodate at least a quarter of a million colonists. Its location was chosen so as to protect people from the effects of radiation, but not to deprive them of natural but indirect sunlight. It is on the side of a high cliff and will be lined up vertically. The company is making bold plans and plans to start construction work as early as 2054 so that by 2100 the first colonists will begin to settle it.
The city will be divided into five sectors. Moreover, each sector can be scaled and developed. The architecture will be based on “Macro Buildings”, tunnel structures created in the rock mass and connected by a three-dimensional network of tunnels. Accordingly, there will be several levels connected by high-speed elevators. Inside each level, the movement of the colonists will be carried out using a transport system consisting of light trains and buses.
An essential principle of Nüwa’s existence will be self-sufficiency. Colonists will only have to make do with local resources. It is planned to deploy various industries within the city, including agriculture to cover the needs of the migrants. It is also supposed to establish regular communication with the Earth for the delivery of goods and people. The cost of a flight to Mars will not exceed $ 300,000, but with a mandatory labor contract.
