On Monday, October 26 Russian aerospace forces dealt a powerful blow to positions of pro-Turkish jihadists in the northern part of Syrian province Idlib, in Jabal al-Zawiyah. During the attack 48 fighters of the “Front of National Liberation” were killed, 120 were wounded with different gravity.
Sources report that at least 12 terrorist field commanders were among the dead.
The Russian warplanes also launched an airstrike at the militants’ training camp of the banned organization Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, about 4km northwest of Armanaz. About a hundred terrorists were killed and 50 injured.
According to a number of experts, internecine warfare and clashes between mercenary units help destroy the militant bases.
This time, for example, the Russian military received information about the location of a training camp for combat groups from ATS soldiers – they, in turn, obtained that information from Islamist informants from Khuras al-Din (a Syrian branch of the banned al-Qaeda in Russia), who are actively fighting against the mercenaries from Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham (the former wing of al-Qaeda in Syria).
