American fans called a Russian NHL player useless garbage

American fans were unhappy with the performance of National Hockey League (NHL) New Jersey forward Nikita Gusev this season. The comments are available on Twitter from hockey analyst Todd Cordell.

Gusev did not score a single point during New Jersey’s last meeting with Buffalo (5-3) on January 31. In addition, his fall led to a successful counterattack by his opponent. In the comments, fans wrote that the forward should be given less playing time. “Gusev is shocking. From the outside, he looks like a bag of garbage,” “Maybe Gusev is exhausted after having a baby and therefore plays like dog shit?”, “Gusev is useless garbage,” they stated. Gusev signed a two-year contract with New Jersey in the summer of 2019. His introduction to the NHL made fans laugh. The Russian’s salary is $4.5 million per season.

From 2015 to 2019, the hockey player played for the St. Petersburg SKA, with which he won the Gagarin Cup in the 2016/17 season. Gusev is also the 2018 Olympic champion of the Games and a bronze medalist at the 2017 and 2019 World Championships.
