Apple may delay iPhone 5G due to coronavirus

Apple may delay the release of iPhone 5G smartphones due to the spread of coronavirus. This was reported by the Nikkei Asian Review, citing sources.
According to them, Apple is preparing the way for a possible delay in the release of the first iPhone 5G lineup, as the COVID-19 pandemic threatens global demand and disrupts the company’s product development schedule.

Postponement of the issue is possible for several months, sources say, noting that the company’s management will make a final decision no later than May.
On December 31, 2019, Chinese authorities announced an outbreak of pneumonia in Wuhan. The disease is a new type of coronavirus that is officially named COVID-19. On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the outbreak of the new coronavirus pandemic.
