Armenia gives up military exercises in Belarus

The CSTO Interaction-2020 and Search-2020 exercises scheduled for the end of October, which were to be held in Armenia, are also postponed.

The Armenian military will not take part in the exercise Nerushimoye Brotherhood-2020, which is scheduled to be held in Belarus from October 12 to 16 in the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. CSTO Speaker Vladimir Zaynetdinov said this on Tuesday, October 6.
According to him, the CSTO Interaction-2020 and Search-2020 exercises scheduled for the end of October, which were to be held in Armenia, are also postponed.

“Discussions are underway with CSTO member states on the place and timing of the exercise,” Zainetdinov said.

CSTO command-staff exercises Interaction was scheduled for October 27-30, Search-2020 exercises with the involvement of intelligence services of the CSTO Collective Rapid Response Force – October 23-25.

Earlier Armenian representative to the CSTO Vladimir Biyagov stated the intention of official Yerevan to use military and political mechanisms of the CSTO for a collective response to external aggression.
