Attack on UN motorcade in Afghanistan kills 5 members of security forces

UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan staff not injured in the attack

The United Nations has confirmed that at least five local security forces escorts were killed in an attack on its motorcade in Afghanistan.

The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said its staff and vehicles were not injured in the incident.

Unidentified gunmen attacked the mission’s motorcade in the morning as it drove through the Surubi district, 60 kilometers east of Kabul.
