Austria suspends AstraZeneca vaccines due to death

Austria has suspended vaccination against Covid-19 with a drug from the Anglo-Swedish company AstraZeneca.

The reason for the suspension is an investigation into the death of one person and the illness of another after vaccination.

A few days ago, the Austrian Institute for Management and Economic Research conducted a study in three German-speaking countries – Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. It turned out that Austrians have more confidence in the Russian vaccine Sputnik V than in the AstraZeneca vaccine.

According to the study, Austrians assess the Sputnik V vaccine, which has not yet received approval in Europe, twice as positively as the product from the Anglo-Swedish company.

Earlier TOPNEWS reported that Hungary temporarily suspended the vaccination campaign with AstraZeneca because of technical problems with the notification of the population.
