Belarus may receive Chinese vaccine against coronavirus

China has confirmed its readiness to supply the Covid-19 vaccine to Belarus in the required volume. This was reported by the telegram channel “Pool of the First,” close to the press service of Alexander Lukashenko.

It is reported that today, January 26, Lukashenko and the leader of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, had a telephone conversation. During the talks, the topic of combating the pandemic was touched upon. Both sides exchanged information on measures taken to counter the spread of infection.

As the Chinese leader noted, there is no reason to calm down. That is why, in accordance with the agreements, Belarus and China will remain open and ready to cooperate in this matter.

In addition, Alexander Lukashenko and Xi Jinping agreed to jointly resist the external threats, noted the high level of the strategic partnership between the two countries and the intention to strengthen it, and discussed the face-to-face meeting in the near future. Lukashenko thanked Xi Jinping for the support in the international arena.

Recall that Alexander Lukashenko has previously stated that the issue of vaccination against coronavirus can be solved in the country in several ways. Either purchase of a foreign vaccine, primarily the Russian Sputnik V, or produce it in the country, or develop one’s own medicine. The prime ministers of Russia and Belarus have announced today the joint production of Russian vaccine
