Presidential candidate appeared in mask on Memorial Day and got on trump’s twitter
Former vice president Joe Biden said wearing masks in public places to fight the coronavirus is a sign of leadership and called President Donald Trump “a fool” who “inflates death”, suggesting the opposite.
A statement by Biden, who, by all indications, will become a Democratic presidential candidate, came out a day after he put on a black mask during his first public appearance in more than two months.
Biden remains at his home in Delaware in a pandemic that froze the presidential campaign, but on Memorial Day, he and his wife Jill laid a wreath at a nearby memorial commemorating veterans.
Trump later retweeted a post that probably intended to ridicule Biden’s masked photo, but later said that this retweet should not be taken as criticism.
In an interview with CNN, Biden said: “He’s a fool, a complete fool if he says so.”
