President said he would be ready to sign the bill on Friday
On Wednesday, the White House issued a statement by US President Joe Biden in connection with the final approval by the House of Representatives of a bill to help the American economy, which is called the “Bailout of America”.
The statement states that “an overwhelming percentage of Americans” – Democrats, Independents, and Republicans – support the new administration’s proposed program to help the national economy and today, with the last passage of the bill in the House of Representatives, “their voice was heard.”
The statement notes that 85 percent of American families will now receive direct payments of $ 1,400. In addition, measures will be expanded to help small businesses, people who have lost their jobs as a result of the pandemic, as well as children from low-income families.
“This bill,” the presidential message says, “is aimed at giving the backbone of our nation – the workers who provide daily livelihoods, the workers who built this country, the people who support it – a chance to fight.”
Biden extended special thanks to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and all legislators who supported the proposed “America’s salvation plan.” He said he would be ready to sign the bill on Friday.
