Biden linked the rise in forest fires to climate change

According to the Democrat presidential candidate, the climate crisis will soon become the most serious threat to the future of humanity.

Joe Biden, Democratic Party presidential candidate, linked the rise of devastating forest fires currently raging in California, Oregon, and Washington to climate change. That’s what Biden said in a statement released Saturday.

“Scientific evidence clearly shows that … climate change is an imminent threat to our existing way of life,” Biden said while continuing to criticize President Donald Trump, who “may try to deny this reality, but the facts are undeniable. We absolutely must act now to avoid a future full of ongoing tragedies like the one American families are experiencing on the West Coast today.

According to Biden, without combating climate change, “forest fires and other extreme weather events will continue to increase in frequency and intensity, endangering the lives of tens of millions of Americans, emptying our land and waterways, making the air breathable, and destroying our economic security.

Biden said the impending climate crisis will be the greatest challenge to humanity’s future in the years ahead.
