It was a frank, respectful conversation <...> President Putin and I have significant responsibility for the direction of these relations, I take this responsibility very seriously, I am sure that he treats it the same way, ”the American leader shared.
The head of the United States also said that he was offering Putin a personal meeting in Europe this summer.
“I propose to meet in person this summer in Europe to discuss a number of problems facing both of our countries. Our teams are discussing this opportunity right now, ”added Biden.

During the talks, Biden suggested that his Russian counterpart hold a meeting in a neutral country.
On April 15, Biden signed a decree imposing sanctions on Russia. The sanctions were imposed against 16 organizations and 16 individuals, allegedly associated with interference in the American elections attributed by the Russian Federation. The US is also expelling 10 Russian diplomats. In addition, the US Treasury banned companies from buying up Russian government debt from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the Treasury, and the NWF.
