Biden’s deputy press secretary suspended over threats to journalist

The deputy press secretary of U.S. President Joe Biden T.J. Ducklo was suspended because of threats to Politico reporter Tara Palmeri, who was preparing a story about his relationship with Axios journalist Alexie McCammond. This was announced by the head of the White House press service, Jen Psaki, on her Twitter page.

“With the approval of the White House chief of staff, he has been suspended without pay. In addition, when he returns, he will no longer be assigned to work with Politico reporters,” Psaki wrote.

She added that Daklo apologized to the reporter and acknowledged that his actions did not meet the standard of conduct set by the president.

According to Vanity Fair magazine, citing sources, Daclo called Palmeri and threatened to “destroy” her and made misogynistic comments about the reporter. In this way he tried to achieve a denial of reports about his relationship with McCammond, who covered the campaign of Biden, the material says.
