Former U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his victory in the last presidential election on Fox News.
The channel broadcast a telephone conversation between journalists and Trump, which was the first appearance of the former president on television after he left office. The conversation focused on popular radio host Rush Limbaugh, who passed away because of lung cancer.
“Rush thought we won, and so did I, by the way. I think we won significantly,” Trump said.
On Nov. 3, the U.S. presidential election was won by Democrat Joe Biden. His predecessor Donald Trump did not recognize the election results and challenged them in courts.
On January 6, Trump supporters stormed the building of the U.S. Congress, interrupting the session at which the parliament was to approve the election results.
On January 13, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass an impeachment resolution. Subsequently, the Senate acquitted Trump.
