The European Union intends to remove Japan from the list of countries whose citizens are allowed optional travel to EU countries, Bloomberg reported with reference to its sources.
According to the agency, this decision is associated with the growth of the incidence of coronavirus in Japan.
As told the source, the updated “white list” of the EU will contain only seven states whose residents will be allowed to visit the European Union.
These are Australia, China, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand.
On January 1, the United Kingdom left the list because of the increase in the number of new cases of COVID-19.
