U.S. President Donald Trump may announce the country’s withdrawal from NATO before the November 3 election. This was announced on August 16 by his former National Security Adviser John Bolton. As Bolton noted in an interview with a journalist of the Spanish edition Razon, during this time Trump can meet with the leader of the DPRK and declare peace on the Korean peninsula, which can withdraw all U.S. forces from Afghanistan or announce the U.S. withdrawal from NATO.
“Trump doesn’t fully understand the work of the U.S. government, how complex it is, and what’s happening in the national security space,” he added.
As Bolton said earlier in August, Trump has no good reason to withdraw some troops from Germany, but he believes Berlin “deserves it.”
John Bolton’s book on the White House was published in June. In it, he said that he did not want to leave Putin and Trump alone during their meeting in Helsinki. According to him, unlike the American president, the Russian leader is well acquainted with all the details of political and economic issues and clearly defends the interests of his country.
