The local Indian newspaper Hindustan Times, citing a military source, reported that 4 Indian soldiers and 7 Chinese troops were injured in the incident. According to the publication, the conflict between the military occurred on Saturday, May 9. About 150 soldiers participated in the fight.
 
The Ministry of Defense specified that the incident occurred in the Nakula area, while the agency did not provide details of the reasons for the conflict.
 
India and China often blame each other for invading each other’s territories, with direct clashes rarely occurring. There is mistrust between the two countries in connection with the aggravated border dispute that caused a short war in 1962.
