Chinese car manufacturer SAIC Motor Corp. Ltd intends to develop at least 10 models of cars with hydrogen fuel by 2025. According to the plans of the company’s management, within five years it is planned to produce and sell 10 thousand hydrogen fuel cell cars.
According to Car.ru self-portal, this project was launched by SAIC Motor about 19 years ago, and during this time the amount of investment in it is about 439 million dollars (3 billion yuan). The company has already obtained 511 patents in the field of fuel cells.
The efforts of the “hydrogen” car maker are supported by the government. According to the plan of the Ministry of Industry and Informatization of China, the country will build more than 1 thousand hydrogen fuel stations by 2030.
