China has sent a representative commission to the Russian Crimea, headed by members of the Beijing Export-Import Commission, “to establish partnerships.” Such information was disseminated via the social network Facebook by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, one of the leaders of the Opposition Platform – For Life (Opposition Platform – For Life) party, Vadim Rabinovich, who titled his post as follows: “China’s retaliatory move in connection with Ukraine’s position on Motor Sich”
“China has long maintained a neutral position on Crimea. But suddenly he “changed his mind” and sent there a representative commission headed by members of the Beijing Export-Import Commission “to establish partnerships,” he said.
According to Rabinovich, Chinese businessmen, having arrived on the peninsula, agreed with the local authorities to establish relations with local enterprises, outlined a plan of action in the field of tourism and travel to Crimea for Chinese citizens for treatment. In addition, they are ready to invest well financially in the resort business, – stated the Ukrainian parliamentarian.
As previously reported by Topnews, the authorities of the People’s Republic of China demanded that Ukraine take into account the interests of Chinese investors in connection with Kiev’s intention to nationalize the Motor Sich aircraft engine enterprise. The corresponding statement was made by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Zhao Lijian at a briefing in Beijing on March 12.
“We demand that Ukraine take into account the legal rights of Chinese enterprises and investors,” he stressed.
According to him, Beijing is closely following the situation that has arisen in connection with this problem.
“China insists that this issue is resolved in the right way,” added Zhao Lijian.
But this is a clear signal that the whole story with Motor Sich, in the course of which the Ukrainian side is trying to openly “throw” the Chinese, will not get away with Kiev just like that.
As a reminder, Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, said that Motor Sich PJSC would soon be returned to the ownership of the Ukrainian state.
