Chinese scientists find a cure for coronavirus

Scientists from the Shanghai Pharmacological Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Wuhan Institute of Virology have found that a Chinese medicine called Shuanghuanglian Koufuye may inhibit a new type of coronavirus.

The composition of the drug includes Japanese rejuvenation, helmet Baikal and forsythia hanging. These substances help to eliminate heat and help to remove toxins from the body. In addition, the drug has broad antiviral and antibacterial properties, RIA Novosti reported citing the Chinese news agency Xinhua.

Chinese scientists have also determined that the outbreak of viral pneumonia, which has already killed more than 200 people, belongs to the same family of viruses as the deadly severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). In 2003, researchers discovered that Shuanghuanglian Koufuye can fight prototypical pneumonia and has an antiviral effect.

Recall, the World Health Organization recognized the outbreak of the new coronavirus as an emergency of international importance. The victims of coronavirus in China have already become 213 people, infected about 9.7 thousand people. About 100 more people became ill outside China, and the first two cases of coronavirus were detected in Russia, in the region of Baikal and the Tyumen region.
