Scientists in the study of the coronavirus found that 13 of the first 41 cases had no connection with the seafood market, as previously thought.
The hypothesis that the original source of coronavirus 2019-nCoV was a wholesale seafood market in Wuhan in China may not be entirely correct. This is evidenced by the description of the first clinical cases, published in The Lancet on Tuesday, January 28.
A team of Chinese scientists from several medical institutions described the details of the first 41 hospitalized patients who were confirmed to have a new coronavirus 2019-nCoV.
The first case was identified on December 1, 2019, and the patient did not report a link to the seafood market. There was no epidemiological link between the first patient and subsequent cases. According to the researchers, 13 of the 41 cases had no connection to the market.
Recall that previously named new symptoms and ways of contracting coronavirus. Everyone needs to wear masks, cut contacts at close range. The virus can also be transmitted through touch if you rub the eye with your hands, which the virus has hit.
