Since the beginning of the conflict in Karabakh 3,330 Armenian servicemen have been killed, according to Alina Nikoghosyan, spokeswoman of the Armenian Health Ministry.
“As of January 1, forensic medical examinations of 3,330 bodies (those killed in Karabakh – ed.) were conducted. To identify and identify the bodies, 1441 samples have been taken from the bodies and remains of the dead since the beginning of the war, and 871 samples are at the stage of research,” wrote the spokeswoman of the Armenian Ministry of Health on Facebook.
She said that the specialists of the Scientific and Practical Center of Forensic Medicine identified 436 bodies, 66 of them – for the last 10 days.
The ceasefire regime in Karabakh began on November 10, the conflict escalated on September 27. The sides are committed to stopping at the occupied positions, to exchange prisoners. Yerevan handed over some areas to Baku. Russian peacekeepers are deployed in the region.
