Czech Republic has the highest Covid-19 death toll in the world

The Czech Republic in the last two weeks has become the most affected country in the world in terms of the number of victims of CoVID-19. This is evidenced by data from the Ministry of Health of the republic.

During this period in the republic with a population of just over 10 million citizens died 26 patients with coronavirus for every 100 thousand inhabitants. Second place in the ranking belongs to Slovenia – 23 deaths, while Hungary comes third with 22 deaths. At the same time, the Czech Republic, which was surpassed only by San Marino, has taken second place in the world by the number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, while Belgium – the third.

Recall that the situation in the Czech Republic with the incidence of coronavirus is extremely difficult. Currently, the country has only 11% of all beds in intensive care units free, and only 124 beds left for people with Covid-19. According to the Czech Ministry of Health, the number of deaths in the country as a result of the coronavirus-caused disease has reached 24,117. In the past 24 hours, 215 patients diagnosed with Covid-19/ have died in the country.
