Danish company withdraws from Nord Stream-2 project – mass media

The company did not comment on the situation. The company provided environmental consulting services to Russians.
Another contractor of Russian Gazprom refused to participate in the completion of the Nord Stream-2 pipeline. The Danish company Ramboll quit the project for fear of being hit by U.S. sanctions, writes Politiken.

A spokesman for the company declined to comment.

The official website of the project says that Ramboll was an environmental consultant to the project. Thus, the company conducted studies on the impact of the pipeline on the environment and submitted reports on environmental impact assessment.

Recently, it became known that the U.S. is preparing new sanctions against Sevpotok-2. The Trump administration intends to introduce its latest sanctions package against the Russian pipeline in the coming days.
