A device that detects coronavirus in ten seconds has been created. For its operation, it is enough to take a person’s saliva sample. The accuracy of diagnosis is 99%.
Turkey has created a device for rapid diagnosis COVID-19. The device is capable of determining the presence of the disease in the body within ten seconds, reports the website of Bilkent University.
We are talking about a device called Diagnovir. The principle of its work is based on the optical analysis of saliva. To conduct the test, it is enough to take a sample of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and add a special solution, and then place it in the appropriate device.
Pathogens are detected within ten seconds by dynamically picking up a fluorescent signal. The process is carried out through a pathogen detection chip designed specifically for the biosensor,

It is added that in preclinical tests Diagnovir detected the presence of COVID-19 with 99% accuracy. Now the device is awaiting several stages of labeling, certification, and accreditation. After that, the device will enter the domestic and foreign markets.
