Dmytro Kuleba, head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wants the Russian president to repent

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Dmytro Kuleba, wants the Russian president to repent. The diplomat said this in an interview with the Den newspaper.
Kuleba hopes that someday the Russian leader will come to Ukraine and worship the monument to the servicemen who fought in Donbas and members of the National Front. He added that this is not a joke or trolling.
“I did not say which president, but such a visit is sure to happen,” the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

In addition, Kuleba named one of Kyiv’s strategic tasks for today. In his opinion, it is necessary to separate the idea of Russia and Ukraine in the Western mind at all levels, as they are two independent countries with different political vectors. “It should become obvious to everyone that we are apart and move along different trajectories of development despite the neighborhood and historical ties,” Kuleba said.
At the same time, the official called Russia “the trauma of Ukraine” and said that the worst period of the country’s history is associated with it. In his opinion, Kyiv should take the process of establishing relations with Moscow into its own hands and take the leading position in it, otherwise, according to Kuleba, Russia will do it on its own terms.
Ukrainian politicians and public figures regularly make questionable statements and proposals on historical issues. Former Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, for example, spoke about the “Ukrainian origin” of Russia and Belarus. Former President Petro Poroshenko called the founding of Moscow “a rash decision by the princes of Kyiv. And the first president Leonid Kravchuk talked about the “meeting” of Stalin and Hitler in Lviv. Dmytro Kuleba, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, regularly makes unfriendly statements about Russia. For example, he said that Crimea itself would “slip out” of Moscow’s hands and become Ukrainian.
