An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 was recorded on Friday in eastern Turkey. This was reported by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center.
The focus of the elements lies at a depth of 2 km. The epicenter was located 43 km east of the city of Malatya, where about 442 thousand people live.
No information was received on casualties and damage.
