He called on the army to be prepared for such a development.
“Any direct intervention by the Egyptian state has now gained international legitimacy,” the head of state said after visiting the Egyptian air force base in the border area with Libya.
He talked with the military and warned them “to be ready to fulfill any mission” both within the country and abroad.
