The Japanese government canceled the emergency regime introduced due to the spread of coronavirus in the country. On Monday, May 25, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said at a press conference in Tokyo. Recall that the emergency regime was canceled ahead of schedule in 39 of the 47 prefectures of Japan by the decision of the central government.
Abe previously stated that the emergency regime could be canceled ahead of schedule if experts deem it possible based on the analysis of data on the situation with coronavirus disease in the region.
As reported, the emergency mode in Japan was introduced in early April until May 31, the question of further actions was to be considered at a government meeting on May 21.
