“Engine exploded”: 241 U.S. Boeing passengers were born with a shirt on

Passengers on a United Airlines flight from Denver to Honolulu escaped thanks to the professional actions of the Boeing 777 crew.

After takeoff, the right engine of the airliner caught fire and then exploded. A passenger of the plane managed to make a video of the moment of the engine’s destruction. The footage has already been called “epic.”

Travelers interviewed by CNN clarified that the “powerful explosion” occurred as the captain was making his usual announcement after reaching cruising altitude. There were 241 passengers and 10 crew members aboard the plane. The commander of the airliner made the decision to return to Denver airport immediately. The landing was successful. None of the passengers were injured.
Meanwhile, on the ground, residents of a cottage community in Broomfield, Colorado, began posting pictures of engine fragments that had fallen from a bird’s eye view. So far, police said they have not received any information about damage to property, real estate, or injuries to people.
