Turkey intends to force Syrian troops to move beyond Turkish observation posts in Idlib, Erdogan said.
As a result of shelling in the Syrian province of Idlib killed 14 Turkish soldiers, said on Wednesday, February 12, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reports TASS. In this regard, Erdogan said that Turkey intends to force Syrian troops to go beyond Turkish observation posts in Idlib until the end of February. To do this, he said, Ankara is ready to use any force.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Erdogan discussed the situation in Idlib by phone.
It is noted that the presidents agreed to conduct additional contacts on Syria through the relevant agencies.
The day before, Erdogan threatened the Syrian authorities with retribution for actions against the Turkish military and promised today to announce new steps on Syria.
