EU calls on Venezuela to reconsider decision to expel EU ambassador

The EU regrets the decision of the Venezuelan authorities to declare the head of the European Union diplomatic mission persona non grata and calls to reconsider this decision. It is reported by the media

“The EU deeply regrets this decision, which will only lead to the further isolation of Venezuela. We call for a review of this decision,” the report said.

It is noted that Venezuela will be able to overcome the ongoing crisis only through negotiations.

Earlier, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreas declared the European ambassador to the country Isabel Brillante persona non grata.
