EU regulator detects 169 cases of blood clots in the brain in vaccinated

We are talking about people who have received the vaccine from AstraZeneca

The European Medicines Regulator received reports of 169 cases of a rare form of cerebrovascular accident in people who received the AstraZeneca vaccine, a senior agency official said Wednesday.

As of April 4, 169 cases of sinus thrombosis of the dura mater were reported for 34 million doses of vaccine injected in the European Economic Area, said Sabine Strauss, chair of the safety committee of the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

The agency had previously announced that it had found a possible link between the vaccine and rare cases of thrombosis in vaccinated adults.

The department stressed that the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks.
