European Council President quarantined after negative COVID test

Charles Michel continues to prepare a special meeting of the European Council for October 1 and 2.
Charles Michelle, President of the European Council, quarantined after the COVID-19 coronavirus test showed a negative result. This was announced by his spokesman Brend Lights on his Twitter page on Friday, September 25.

“After a negative test on Monday, today the result of the test for COVIDPresident of the European Council was negative. The president is no longer under quarantine and continues to prepare a special meeting of the European Council for October 1 and 2,” he wrote.

As it is known, on October 1 the Ukraine-EU summit is due to take place as well, but this event is not on the agenda of the European Council for today.

Besides, European Council president Michel does not have a trip to Ukraine, particularly to Donbas, announced by the high representative of EU on foreign and security policy Josep Borrel, on his agenda this weekend.
