The head of the Council of the European Union criticized the extensive coverage of vaccine exports from Russia and China
European Council President Charles Michel on Tuesday condemned widespread coverage of coronavirus vaccine exports from China and Russia and said Europe would not use vaccines for propaganda purposes.
“We must not let China and Russia, regimes with less desirable values than ours, mislead us as they organize very limited but highly publicized operations to supply vaccines to other countries,” said Michel, who chairs the EU leaders’ summits.
He noted that, according to available data, in China and Russia, the number of doses of vaccine administered per 100 inhabitants is half that in the European Union.
“Europe will not use vaccines for promotional purposes. We are promoting our values, ”Michel emphasized.
