Eurovision may be held online and without a competitive part

The organizers do not exclude the possibility of holding an event on the Web in quarantine.

The European Broadcasting Union (EMU) reported on Twitter that Eurovision 2020 can be held online, but not in the form of a competition, but as a show “to raise the spirit of Europeans in difficult times” and not to ignore the work of selected artists and their songs.

EMU previously confirmed that the competition, which was supposed to be held in Rotterdam on May 12–16, is postponed due to coronavirus to 2021. According to the rules of the event, the artists will have to submit a new song.

Eurovision was canceled for the first time in the 64-year history of the contest. This year Russia was supposed to be represented by the Little Big group with the composition “Uno”.
