The name of the leader of China was replaced by the words “smelly hole” in the text of the translation of the statement from Burmese to English.
The social network Facebook incorrectly translated the name of the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping in a statement posted on the official account of Myanmar Secretary of State Aung San Suu Kyi.
The name of the Chinese lidra was offensively translated from Burmese into English. In the translation of the statement, it was replaced by the words “Mr. Shithole”.
This became known when Xi Jinping was in Myanmar for the second day on an official visit. As a result, the local edition of Irrawaddy published the headline “Dinner in honor of the president smelly hole”.
Facebook has already apologized for the unfortunate incident and said it was investigating the incident.
