Facebook spys on Instagram users - media

Facebook was sued for surveillance of users through the front camera iPhone. Thus, the social network supposedly uses cameras to collect data about users.
The Federal Court of San Francisco has accepted the claim against Facebook for spying on Instagram users. The lawsuit claims that the front camera iPhone unauthorized use at a time when their owners were not using gadgets, writes Bloomberg.

In such an illegal surveillance users found the company back in July 2020. Then the notice of the working camera appeared even at the moment when the users just flipped through the tape.

It is also claimed that the largest social network in the world collects personal data from users to use for market research.

The company said in its defense that the camera triggering is a system error and it is already fixed. However, based on the September lawsuit, this “bug” is still relevant.
