These measures are taken before the US presidential inauguration
Facebook said it is blocking the organization of any events on the Presidential Inauguration Day in the United States, located close to such places as the White House and the Capitol in Washington, as well as to the authorities in state capitals.
It is also stated that all events previously registered for January 20 will be checked and those that violate the rules of the social network will be removed.
The social network also announced other restrictions, including the blocking of LIVE broadcasts from some accounts.
The move comes after the attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of Donald Trump. The FBI warned that armed protests were expected in Washington and state capitals.
