A man who was the first to contract a new type of coronavirus 2019-nCoV has been cured in Japan. This is reported by Nikkei on Saturday, February 8.

It is noted that today a 60-year-old man was discharged from the hospital in Nara Prefecture. He works as a bus driver and drove groups of tourists. He was the first to fall ill with coronavirus without traveling outside Japan.

It is believed that the man may have contracted coronavirus from tourists from China, among whom may have been infected.

Earlier on Saturday, it was reported that the cruise liner Diamond Princess, which is in quarantine in Japan, recorded new infections with coronavirus. Sixty-four people have already fallen ill. Their nationality is not disclosed. There are 25 Ukrainian citizens on board.
