Three FBI agents were injured
Two FBI agents were killed and three others were wounded Tuesday morning while conducting a search in Sunrise, Florida.
The shooting occurred at 6 a.m. as law enforcement officers were attempting to conduct a search as part of an investigation related to violent crimes against children, the FBI said in a statement. According to the Miami Herald, citing Sunrise police, the case involves possession of child pornography.
The man who was the subject of the search warrant also died.
The names of the deceased were not disclosed. The FBI said the two wounded agents are in stable condition at nearby hospitals. The shooting is under investigation.
This is the first time in many years that FBI agents have been killed in a shooting while on duty.
