France is renewing anti-records for coronavirus incidence

The French Ministry of Health reports a resurgence of coronavirus incidence among citizens over the past few days.

Such disappointing data quoted by Lexpress with reference to a statement by the head of the Ministry of Health of the country, Jean Castex.

Thus, for the last day 9.4 thousand more patients were registered, the day before – 9.8 thousand, which became an absolute national anti-record for all the time of the pandemic.

Besides, 80 people died from complications of the disease during the last day. The total number of victims of coronavirus in France was 31 thousand people.

“It is particularly worrying that for the first time in many weeks we are recording a significant increase in the number of hospitalizations,” said Castex.
In this regard, the minister urged his fellow citizens to take more responsibility for the possible consequences.

It should be noted that a total of more than 400 thousand infections have been reported in France this year. At the same time, a sharp increase in morbidity is also observed in neighboring countries – Italy and Spain.

Earlier EADaily reported that the Spanish authorities are not going to reintroduce quarantine, despite the fact that this country was the first in Western Europe, where the number of infected with coronavirus has exceeded half a million people.
