G7 remains committed to sanctions against Russia in connection with the annexation of Crimea

The G7 countries condemned Moscow’s actions to undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine

The G7 countries remain fully committed to respecting the sanctions against Russia imposed in connection with the annexation of Ukraine’s Crimea and will continue to help Ukraine maintain its independence.

This was announced on Thursday by the German Foreign Ministry.

“We unanimously condemn Russia’s continued efforts to undermine Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence,” reads a joint statement by the G7 foreign ministers released by Germany on the seventh anniversary of the annexation.

The G7 includes the US, Canada, Japan, UK, France, Germany and Italy.
