Azerbaijan managed to take up positions within a few hours at the beginning of hostilities, but soon Armenian forces began to repel the attacks, Nagorno-Karabakh said.
Nagorno-Karabakh regained the positions it had lost in the battle with Azerbaijan. President Araik Harutyunyan’s press secretary Vahram Poghosyan said so, Sputnik Armenia reported on Wednesday, September 30.
According to Poghosyan, the success of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on the field on September 27 is explained by the attack from their side, it lasted several hours, after which the Armenian forces began to repel the enemy’s attacks.
“In one night we recovered most of the lost positions, in addition, we improved them and are moving forward. And this is the case when Turkish servicemen are fighting in the Azerbaijani army, everyone knows it,” Poghosyan said.
If Azerbaijan continues to attack, it is quite possible that “we will not only defend our positions but also move forward and take up new ones,” he added.
“Poghosyan noted that Karabakh’s economy has not suffered because of the war, the infrastructures are working as before, and if they are shelled, measures are taken promptly to repair and restore them,” Sputnik writes.
Let us remind you that earlier the Armenian military showed their shot down the plane. Azerbaijani presidential aide for foreign policy Hikmet Hajiyev denies the Turkish fighters’ involvement in the losses of the Armenian air force.
It was also reported that Armenia was ready for negotiations with Azerbaijan, but there was a condition. Armenia and Karabakh are not ready to conclude a peace agreement with Azerbaijan at the expense of their national interests.
