Greek President will transfer half of his salary to fight COVID-19

Greek President Yekaterina Sakellaropoulou said she would transfer part of her salary to fight against coronavirus.
“The president of the republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, given the difficult economic situation in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic, decided to deposit half of her salary into a special account as the minimum sign of solidarity over the next two months,” the presidential administration said in a statement.
In Greece, 1156 cases of infection with a new coronavirus were confirmed, 38 people died.
