Head of State Department meets with heads of diplomacy of the Baltic states

The interlocutors discussed the situation in Belarus and Russia, as well as challenges from China

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met on Wednesday in Brussels with Estonian Foreign Minister Eva-Maria Liimets, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgar Rinkevich, and Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielus Landsbergis, the State Department press service reported.

The heads of diplomacy of the four countries underlined their unwavering commitment to security and democracy in Europe and around the world. They discussed the situation in Belarus and Russia, as well as the challenges from China, which require constant partnership in the name of promoting peace, prosperity, and shared values. The Secretary of State stressed the need for further adaptation within the framework of the NATO 2030 initiative. He thanked his colleagues for their commitment to rebuilding NATO and for their contribution to the alliance through significant defense funds and overseas operations.
