The representative of the district fire department in Svidnitsa Pavel Shidlovsky said that the helicopter crashed near the national road number 5 in Strzegom in Svidnitsky district.

“It was a two-seater ultralight helicopter. For unknown reasons, it quickly fell to the ground. Two middle-aged men died as a result of the accident,” Shidlovsky said.

Seven fire officials were sent to the crash site.

“There was no fire, but we had to secure the territory due to the fact that there was a rather large fuel leak from the helicopter,” Shidlovsky added.

The causes of the accident are still unknown.

Recall that earlier four people died in a helicopter crash in Chukotka. The Chukotka authorities confirmed the death of four people in the crash of a Mi-8 military helicopter at Coal Mines Airport, located in the Anadyr Peninsula.
