In Germany, an unidentified man drove a Mercedes Kombi into a carnival march in The town of Volkmarsen, Hesse. At least 15 people, including young children, were injured, ARD reported on Monday, February 24.

Dozens of ambulances, police, and fire services are at the scene. A medical helicopter was involved.

The incident occurred at about 14.30 local time. The car drove about 30 meters before it stopped. According to eyewitnesses, the driver continued to press the gas pedal after the attack.

Recall, on the evening of February 19 in Germany, a man opened fire in two hookah towns of Hanau. Nine people were killed and four others were wounded. On Thursday morning, police found the bodies of two other people in the apartment – the shooter and his mother.

Law enforcement officers were able to identify the perpetrator – a 43-year-old resident of Hanau Tobias R. He was motivated by racist motives. All the victims of the attacks had migration roots. Five Turkish nationals were among the dead.
